It is a result of a cross of the popular French American hybrid Seyval and the classic vitis vinifera Chardonnay. It is distinguished by its superior wine quality combined with high productivity and cold hardiness superior to its acclaimed parent Chardonnay. Named after a two-mule hitch, the double tree is a piece of wood that allows two mules to pull a load together. In grape terms, two varieties of grapes are blended to allow you to enjoy two great French white grapes combined to create a sensation that is very unique. The light citrus on the end dances on your palate and finishes like no other semi-dry white wine. This wine is great with pasta, chicken, cheese, or just by itself.
